HISTORY, EXPERIENCE AND CAPABILITIES

Kellie Miller is an International artist renowned for her ceramic vessels and wall pieces. Her works are held in museum collections around the world including Taiwan, Japan and the UK. Her work has been featured widely in the press, including The Times, The Guardian, Elle Decoration and Homes and Gardens.

Kellie embraces an experimental approach to her work she aims to balance form, colour and texture.  Her goal is to create work that crosses many disciplines and that it is viewed in its own right, without preconceptions.  She places importance on the artistic merit, design elements and the craft within her work; and believes without a fine balance of these there can be no meaningful art, craft or design.

Kellie desires to create environments for her pieces to belong; where the work is fluid and moves from objects for the table to works on the floor and wall.  It is vital that her work is accessible, either by function or the way in which each piece entices the viewer to touch and or hold.  She is a creative free spirit and produces pieces that involve many different genres and artistic practices. She is not restricted by rules or regulations. Kellie’s work is inspired by movements such as, Bauhaus, The Art and Crafts, The Omega workshops, Dada, Art Nouveau, Art Deco, Cubism and the Surrealists
